The average life span of these creatures is up to 20 years in captivity, 9-11 years in the wild. These creatures live mostly in woodland, forests with glades, and clearings near waterways. They graze in the morning and evening and rest during the day.

Whitetail Habitat -

These hounds are native to Indian Himalayas, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Sikkim and introduced to Australia, New Zealand, the continental United States and Europe. There they became favorites of parks and zoological gardens. These creatures are about 30-39 inches at the shoulder, females are 26-33 inches.
